Some of the key elements envisioned for Rail Creek Park are pump tracks, skills courses and maybe even some bike playground elements - safe places where cyclists at all levels can come learn, play, and fly on two wheels.

But the two-wheeled adventure doesn’t stop there. There’s been a small cyclocross course on the site for seven years now, and the vision is there to turn it into a course that can host races at all levels, including regional events and possibly even USA Cycling Cyclocross Nationals. Cyclocross lies somewhere between road cycling and mountain biking, racing on a course that can be laid out in a wide variety of spaces from grass fields to city parks. All it takes is a little planning and a lot of creativity. The cyclocross community is close knit, and to race a good course or just watch the best on their bikes, they’ll come from hundreds of miles around.
